Being a Maverick
We are all about community. Friendship. Comraderie. Helping each other and making sure we're all having fun, while learning and building some really super cool things. We believe everybody has a place - whether you like being in the machine shop, coding, wiring things up, designing, or presenting. We want everyone to feel like they have a say, that they can and do contribute, and that we need everyone playing their part in order to be the best we can be.
Hands On
We believe that you have to get your hands in and on things to really understand how they work. Our fully-equipped machine shop allows team members to develop confidence in hand tools, welding, and using various tools such as saws, a drill press, a lathe, and a plasma cutter, all in a safety-conscious environment.
Teamwork
We believe in the whole team work regardless of the function or sub-team you're apart of - every one of us being who they were meant to be.
Not only within our own team, with everyone. We believe we are all better when we all work together. Gracious professionalism, we live it.
Flexibility
We aspire to let students and mentors alike play and see what they are interested and passionate about.
We have students that bridge a variety of sub-teams and find it's extremely helpful in the design, build, and coding process. If you like one of the sub-teams, or are interested in it, why not see if there's something more?
